Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 5, 2026.

This policy explains what information this website collects, how I use it, and the choices you have. I keep it short and in plain language, because that is how I run my practice.

What This Policy Covers

This policy covers martinbergerlaw.com, the website of the Law Office of Martin Berger LLLC. It does not cover the information you share with me after you become a client. That information is protected by my professional duty of confidentiality and by the attorney-client privilege.

Information You Choose to Give Me

If you fill out the questionnaire, you provide contact information and the financial details you choose to share, such as your debts, income, and property. The questionnaire is handled in house. It is not processed through any outside form service, and what you enter comes directly to my office. If you call or email my office, I receive whatever you choose to tell me. Even before you become a client, what you tell me in the questionnaire, by email, or by phone is protected by my professional duty of confidentiality, and I will not use or reveal it.

Submitting the questionnaire, calling, or emailing does not create an attorney-client relationship. The site Disclaimer explains this in more detail.

Information Collected Automatically

This site uses Google Analytics. It sets cookies and collects information about how visitors use the site, such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and your general location. I use this information to understand how people find and use the site. I do not use it to identify you personally.

If you prefer not to be included, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s browser opt-out for Google Analytics. The site works fine either way. The site also loads its fonts from Google, so that service sees your device's network address when a page loads. This site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals. For more about how Google collects and uses data from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

How I Use Your Information

  • To respond when you contact my office.
  • To evaluate whether bankruptcy or federal student loan discharge can help you.
  • To understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

How I Protect Your Information

I take reasonable steps to protect the information you send through this site. But no website or email is completely secure. Please do not send account numbers or your Social Security number through the questionnaire or by email. Save the detailed documents for after we have spoken.

Your Choices

You can email my office at any time to ask what information I have about you, to correct it, or to ask me to delete it. Write to info [at] martinbergerlaw [dot] com.

Children

This site is written for adults dealing with debt. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

If I change this policy, I will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
